A Message from Pastor Chuck: Welcome to our web site! We are a people gathered in Word and Sacrament and sent in God's good grace on the journey of faith. This is a good people and a good place! I pray that you would feel welcome to join our life and mission. Signposts of my life include Wausau, Wisconsin where I was born and raised, LaCrosse, Wisconsin where I attended UW-LaCrosse, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (1977), Wartburg Seminary (1983) in Dubuque, Iowa, and stops in parishes in Winterset and Postville, Iowa before coming to St. Peter in Fennimore in January of 1996. April and I have been married since 1980.

We have three wonderful daughters, Alysha, Bethany, and Chelsea. I am grateful for the many people who have touched my life as instruments of God's relentlessly gentle grace. Through them I have grown in my appreciation of the phrase "Blessed to Be A Blessing!" I have been enriched and deepened in the faith by the teaching of people like Martin Luther, Jack Shea, Martin Luther King Jr. and Gerhard Frost. Yet I still find that the extraordinary lessons I have learned have come from the elegantly ordinary who have patiently helped me grow in grace. My patron saint would have to be Sophie Moen, a kind and gentle lady whose integration of faith and life made it a pleasure and privilege to know her. I have an earthy piety and an insatiable curiosity. I enjoy a good hug. I invite you to join the good folk of Saint Peter in this journeying faith, which I like to call Dancing the Dance of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Dance.
